How come it's all cutting stuff? I've seen some amazing window bars, sliding gates. Art pieces, throw in jewelry. There's a lot of hot metal being pounded into all kinds of things.
Sir try assassins creed hidden knives
nope XD
I used to watch all of these quite intently. After watching the time limits shrink enough to where people started cutting themselves is when I quit. It's just too painful to watch anymore
Cambodia 🇰🇭 weapon
Wills back baby
I knew it. Gimli is persian. Clever, clever.
...did they just call Gimli's axe a Tabar? Dafuq?
Spikes are not meant to be bladed they are supposed to be conical. Every time I’ve seen a triangular, bladed spike it always fails. You have two sharp axe heads to cut with, you do not need to cut with the tip, you need to be able to pierce armour with it which a cone shape is better for.
@1:02, that isn't a Tabar, it's just a 2 handed battle axe!
Triple edge??
why did they build it like a batarang?
Yeeeppp! She harrd!
I didn't knew dought was filipino
Fun Fact: Tabar in Persian means 'Axe'. Obviously
Lazy name, but that's probably something I'd do too
his back woohoo
You can tell that the ax in Lord Of The Rings isn’t that middle eastern garbage.
6:44 when you see that kid you don't like talking to your crush in recess....
0:45 I'm 80% sure that's from an old 3.5 D&D book
🇹🇷 dubbing
Hahahaa yea they had lathes and Cnc back in the day
My G.f - Why do you watch "Forged In Fire" so much now a days, what made you like forging all of a sudden ?? ME - Because it will keeeeeal !!!!
İt is not Armenian weapon this years armenia not republic
what can I find the name of the human body on the internet
Did he say a 10g check? Cheapskates
Thought Wil’s back, got a bit too excited
Gimli's weapon was a double headed axe, not a Tabar. The Tabar has a spike, Gimli's axe doesn't.
Ted, Dekker???? Like the author?
Awesome work by both smiths.
Not sharp at all we had to sharpen it when we got our knives waste of money never again will we get anything from you guys
Perhaps someone more knowledgeable can answer: the intro describes the tabar as a favorite weapon of mounted warriors, but as seen in this show it is clearly a two handed axe. How is anyone supposed to use this on horseback? Interested in any responses.
He was twitching because he got my axe ambedded in his nervous systeme.
"if it's worth making, it's worth making in damascus" oh dear, he's going to lose isn't he
I so badly want to see them make a hunting estoc, I think as a challenge it's very unique and I'd love to see how it gets approached on this show
The Zulfiqar?
Gg geming
I hope one day Ilya Alekseyev will be judge
I request you all plz give them a task to make a storm breaker
I just like how humans literally make other species go instinct and question why we deserve to go instinct when those species did NOTHING to us
What
Tabar in Persian simply means axe.
Anyone notice that Ted was strapped while working in his forge....my kinda guy.
Guys which is better? It will kill It will keel It will keal
Is it just me or does the winner look a lil bit like Travis Fimmel?
I don't see any triple edge?????
Bikin mandaw indonesia
Mandau indonesia
one minute your winning next your leaving
This weapon was used in Mahabharat
Why do some of these bladesmiths wear skirts?
It will kilt.
I am from Russia who reads my commentary I wish you good luck and all the best in this world✋😁
I may ask for a request for a weapon from Indonesia with sharp bamboo, hopefully it will be read, thanks 🙏
It made the cut it just broke(the spike)
Is it featured in lord of the rings ? Not convinced. Sure it’s got a wooden handle. Gimli’s axe has a wooden handle I think ? Thoughts? Biggest issue of the month for sure
Does anyone here know if Ted has a social media? Such as Instagram or does he have a ALworld channel? I really appreciate the work he did on the Tabar
I am on Facebook and Instagram Hooligankustoms
I love the history of the weapons and seeing them referenced in pop culture such as movies and video games.
yeah pity the lord of the rings axe they referenced is nothing like what they are trying to explain , if it were then there were plenty of doubled headed axes in history and again nothing to do with the one they are trying to feature and make in this clip
Armenia!
USA
it seems like anyone that makes a weapon out of damascus has a higher chance of losing due to critical failure lol
But everyone is all about it 😂
Some people working with them hands..and others working with them minds...
yeah it doens't really look like the axe the dwarf had tbh
I dont think that the axe gimli is using is a tabar... More a 2 bladed orc destroying dwarven axe
Are the contestants' names really "Ted" and "Deker"? Lol, there's an author I used to read way back when I was a teenager named Ted Dekker.
"It can be been being featured in the iconic film: The Lord of the Rings" uuuuuuuuuuuuuhhhhhhhh.....You sure about that one chief?
when you quote someone you are supposed to say exactly what they said. not whatever this is.
Right?
He didn’t say film...😂
That grammar 😂
Decker has an obnoxious handshake.
their handles are typically hollow.
The winning axe was too heavy. Would have ruined any hollow haft he put on it.
Am I the only 12 year old who love forged and fire 🤔🤔
As a Filipino, I guarantee they turn that pig into lechon, after the show is done.
What's the point of a damascus if you don't show the close ups .. 🙁
Doug is one of the judges not a waiter, he doesn't need to address the contestants as Sir which lowers his status. Just call them by their first name.
@Colin Seet ugh... Many Americans call everyone sir. As to why the contestants sometimes might address him by name, I'd put it down to familiarity. They feel they know him, having seen him on the show over the years, and feel comfortable calling him Doug. He doesn't really know them, and therefore generally goes with the default "sir".
@Flinn Gaidin Then how come Doug addresses the contestants Sir while they address him by his name?
Sir is respectful and nothing wrong in respecting people
It's an US thing..they call everyone sir.
"Triple-edged Battle Axe" *only has two edges* Learn to count, "History" Channel.
@Shreyash Verma the spike is round, with a point. It lacks an edge or a blade.
They were talking about the spike too
Sucks that spike fell off, Deckers axe did significantly more damage. That rivet weld got him. Great builds tho.
And it was clearly the better weapon. That other axe was way too heavy to be practical.
Make pilipine KNIFE BALISONG MAKE PLEASE
whenever the video is shorter than 10 mins, there gotta be a catastrophic failure
am I the only one that wants to see them make like spiked brass knuckles or something
Oooooh...a trench knife?!
When they only show 2 tests in the opening, you know one weapon was gonna break
Подскажите пожалуйста что за трек?
You would also write in Chinese
Decker [Computer Security Consultant] : Blacksmithing and Knifemaking is sort of a sideline that I do as a little bit of therapy. Me: ...You pound bright red hot metal into knives (and most recently, a Battleax) for therapy!? (O_o) b
Yes. Going from a very abstract activity to a very objective one is relaxing AF. It can be anything but you end up with something you can touch, weight, see and use by itself instead of the mental exhaustion of software and the big pile of nothingness you've created.
I do martial arts and literally beat people up for therapy. Pounding a piece of metal is kinda mild.
computer security can be stressful, and only the pounding of hot metal can satisfy
Who wants to see Turgut Alp's weapon?
7:43 hahaha
I love forge in fire, becuse i like unique and different weapon ! Forge in fire fan from the Phillipines 💖
Hi! Thanks for watching #ForgedInFire on ALworld! Make sure to subscribe to never miss a new weapon test!
a worthy winner well done to him.
what a sick thing to do to the dead body of that animal smfh! lack of morals is whats wrong today bunch of cave savages
The moment he said the D. Word, I got a bad feeling.
Better blade lost
Yep. Even without the spike it was a better axe. The other one was way too heavy to be practical on a battlefield.
Request Mandau made in Indonesia Borneo
Kuya doug is really having fun every it will keel hahaha
Making it out of a sledgehammer head is so smart tbh
@hooligankustoms good job man!
@hooligankustoms from horseback..... would have been like getting hit by a "sharpened sledgehammer".... badoom tish ............I'll see myself out............. nice work by the way
Traditional Persian Tabar is 12 to 14 pounds, it was used on horse back
Honestly the weight should have been mentioned. 8 pounds is suuuper heavy for any historical weapon. Even without the spike the losing weapon would probably be more effective in combat.
Wasn’t as smart as an idea as I thought it would be, those sombitches are hard to forge out even with a big power hammer! Took me an entire day to forge that axe head
I swear that first guy is the only person to do a heat treat with a torch and a forge properly
5:00 you are looking for
No most of us like to watch the whole video.
I heard that he miss pronounce kill on purpose Cuz he knows that there kids watching so kell means keep everyone safe “”(not the same wording but the same meaning)””””l think l heard it in a video a month ago soo am not 100% sure
Fun fact: so far state of Colorado has been reigning supreme, every time someone participating from that state in this show has taken $10k and the championship crown.
Still one of the very best shows around!
Cambodia 🇰🇭 hunter please sir 🥺
Yall not asleep
Lol that one guy was wearing his work shirt which is Victory Lane Oil Change lol
kinda cheaty forging a partially complete hammer head
He would have lost if not for the failure of the other axe. It's way too heavy and Doug can't even swing it very well compared to the one that broke.
i just came to the point where i didnt even saw dekkers part and know he will lose against the other axe
Kind of miss the random testing mechanisms.
3:24 Damascus in FIF? Never heard of it idk I’m not Syrian
Great show but just one question: what is this with the 10.000 dollars prize? Are we in 1997? Put some muscle into it. Give those guys more money to make it worth their troubles and travel expenses. Why not make it 100.000 dollars? Come on History, you the finance.
Yea lets just give away $100000 every week😐
What a reach for the pop culture reference
One day, Doug was walking through some aisles at ross with one of his sons. He came across the accessories and found one belt he really liked. His son said, "You have plenty of belts why do you need another?". Doug answered, "Yes i have many belts but this one is special because 6:28"
I don’t get it.
I want a 🤣🤣reaction in ALworld
Genius
😂
😎👍✌🖖👌😁
if weapon doesn't keel, doug should say "it will heel"
I'm surprised no one has used Beskar- oh wait
